I took this picture mid-day at work. My hair didn’t get frizzy, but definitely did not retain it’s curl like it normally does.

Hair spray can dry out your scalp and cause build-up. Unless you want to go cold turkey (like I attempted) to prevent this from happening, you should try a natural hair spray that contains gum arabic – a natural gum made from tree sap. Gum arabic is used in the food industry and it’s edible! It’s put in hair spray to give us ladies that extra hold!

Not gonna lie, when I first read this article about Bull Semen (yes, that’s correct…Bull Semen) on Naturallycurly.com, I got a little grossed out.

The Aberdeen Organic Bull Sperm Treatment is a real service currently being offered at Hari’s, a 30-year old London salon that prides itself on offering some of London’s most exciting new treatments sourced from around the world.

Also known as “Viagra for Hair,” this 45-minute treatment ranges from £55 to £85 ($90-$138 U.S.) and uses semen from Aberdeen Angus bulls. Hari’s combines the sperm with the root of the protein-rich plant Katera. The protein-enriched potion is massaged into the client’s hair after it has been shampooed. Then the client is put under heat so the treatment penetrates the hair. The final step is the blow out, which gives the hair an a body and shine.

If this trend ever makes it’s way to the U.S., it will have to be offered under a code name! The Bull Sperm Treatment just doesn’t sound appealing. For now, I’m sticking to my deep conditioner.

On Friday’s episode of “Oprah Fridays Live,” Oprah showed a picture of her hair – in its natural, unstyled state – that caused even best friend Gayle King to yell, ‘Yowzer!”

Why’d she show it?

Because Oprah just joined the Twitter nation and said that one topic that seems to fascinate her “Tweeple” is her hair.

“Am I wearing a weave? Everybody’s like, ‘Oprah, we love your weave,’” she said, before flashing a photo of herself with pre-ironed, pre-curled hair to set the record straight.

Yep, no weave there.
