I used TIGI’s Curls Rock Amplifier for the first time this weekend and I’m in love! Yes ladies, this product is amazing.

I’ve been on the hunt for a new everyday curly hair product ever since Pantene Pro-V Mousse for Curly Hair started giving me flakes. So I decided to go out on a limb and give Curls Rock Amplifier a chance. I was, and still am, totally impressed.

This product is enhances your natural texture, which is great for girls like me who don’t have very defined curls – but crave them. I used about 4-5 pumps of product on soaking wet hair. After diffusing, my hair didn’t feel sticky or crunchy. I was ready to head out for night with soft, defined, touchable curls. Because it’s so humid out, I did use a little bit of hairspray on the ends, but that’s it.

I’m excited now to try other products in the Curls Rock collection. I definitely recommend Amplifier for girls with think, frizz-prone hair, who need definition and taming. Stay tuned for more reviews!

Probably because Keratin does not come cheap.

Well, one Brazilian beauty company has come up with a solution – an affordable new product line, which incorporates Keratin to restore shine and silkiness and revitalize dry and damaged hair at a fraction of the cost.

The company is nuNAAT and the product line is called Karite Special. The new line includes a creamy shampoo, conditioner, intensive mask, anti-frizz leave-in treatment and a combing cream.

The products cost about $6 or $7 each…not too shabby! For more info check out nunaat.com.

We all know that we shouldn’t wash our hair everyday, but it’s not as easy for us curlies. Our strands get knotty and frizzy, and all we want to do is jump in shower and shampoo! So, we decided to put together a guide on how to tame your second day mane.

1. Keep hair down when you go to sleep. Overnight hair ties cause major creases and can even cause breakage.

2. In the shower, wear hair up in a shower cap like Benefit’s Satin Cap or use a Tassi. Point the shower nozzle downward so you can shave your legs without getting your hair soaked.

3. Don’t even attempt to brush. Instead, smooth out frizz and detangle with a couple drops of serum like Ken Paves Shine Serum.

4. For stubborn strands that shape your face, re-wet using a spray bottle and re-style like your normally do.

5. If oily hair is your issue, try using a dry shampoo or The All Nighter Styling Powder – a color matched, gently scented silk powder that absorbs excess oil.

6. Still not happy? Before you throw your hair up in a bun, try a headband or a pretty hair clip. France Luxe has a great selection!

Got some more tips? Leave us a comment!

No shower needed.

It was so hot outside and my hair was feeling dry, so I decided give it a try. I can tell you that the fragrance is divine! I sprayed several pumps on my ends. It worked great as a refresher for my locks, but for us PGH girls, I don’t think it can replace normal conditioner. Curls need a lot of moisture to stay frizz-free, and I’m not so sure a dry conditioner of any kind will do the trick.

Have you tried this product? Leave a comment and let us know what you think about it.

I’m still testing this “hair-saver” out but so far so good.

We did some research and it turns out satin pillowcases come highly recommended for those of us who have chronic bed head. If you’re a restless sleeper, WomenFitness.net says to give one of these a try. NaturallyCurly.com recommends a satin pillowcase to reduce tangles and so does WikiHow if you are trying to make your hair grow faster.

Want to give a SimpleCASE a shot? Check out their website. Each purchase comes with a 100% guarantee, so no hurt feelings if it’s not everything you wanted out of a satin pillowcase and more.
