As you probably know from previous posts, I’ve been wearing my PGH straight lately. All the heat styling tools take a toll and I’ve been on the hunt for a product to keep my hair healthy and strong. Enter It’s a 10 Miracle Leave in Conditioner. This product was recommended to me by five different stylists at five different salons, so I figured it had to be somewhat good, right? On the bottle, it claims it does the following instantly:
1. Repairs dry, damage hair
2. Adds shine
3. Detangles
4. Controls frizz
5. Seals & protects hair color
6. Prevents split ends
7. Stops hair breakage
8. Creates silkiness
9. Enhances natural body
10. Flat iron spray & thermal protectorSounds like a pretty good all-in-1 solution! I’ve been using It’s a 10 for about 2 weeks and so far I really like it. My hair is still looking healthy, shiny and I think it’s even getting easier to style. I reccommend this to anyone who has dry, damaged or chemically treated hair.

My coworker, Claudia, was raving about L’Oreal’s EverPure Conditioner today. She says the combination of rosemary and mint gives way for some sweet aromatherapy during your shower. And, best of all, a tiny amount of conditioner will do the trick (and she has THICK hair, so she would know)! For those PGHers who color their hair at home, you know that the kits usually provide you with a rich conditioner to use after applying color to protect your hair and help the color stay vibrant.
EverPure was created out of that same concept. It promises to keep your color pure even after 32 washes. The 100% sulfate free line means that no harsh, stripping ingredients will come in contact with your locks. The tip of the iceberg? EverPure goes beyond protecitng your color with three different formulas in their line: moisture, smoothing, and volumizing.
Beautiful, long lasting color plus a free aromatherapy session? I’ll take it.
Visit L’Oreal Paris for more info.

Over the weekend, my friend told me that Paul Mitchell has a pet product line. Turns out she was right!JPP – or John Paul Pet – offers high-end salon grooming products for your pet. The shampoos and conditioners are all-natural and actually tested on humans first (hehe). They also make wipes for your pet’s ears, eyes, paws, teeth and gums.
Also over the weekend, my family got a new pup. Here is Riley, their new 10 week old Golden Retriever. He’s the sweetest most delicious thing ever! Maybe he’ll get to try out JPP.

Cowashing is a term that means washing your hair with conditioner only. I probably do this 2 times a week to make sure I’m not stripping my natural oils by overwashing.
However, we curlies have to be careful of cowashing. Because we use products like gel and mousse, cleaning just with conditioner can make our hair feel dirty and weighed down.
The Beauty Brains has a great post all about cowashing. Check it out here.
