Lady Gaga’s American Idol Hair

Lady Gaga ruled the stage last night on American Idol. Who knew she was so talented?! I couldn’t believe that she was actually singing and rocked out with the piano too.

Besides her talent, we have to comment on her hair which looked more voluminous than ever. She sported a cropped ‘do with blunt wavy bangs, instead of her trademark long straight hair. Very PGH of her!

Joss Stone’s American Idol Hair

Joss Stone performed last night with Smokey Robinson on American Idol, and of course in typical PGH fashion, we have to talk about her hair!

She wore her hair down in waves and pulled back the front pieces in braids. It’s a very easy look to recreate – especially for PGH.

* If you hair is naturally wavy, once dry, smooth out the ends with a frizz-calming serum, like Ken Paves Shine Serum.

* Braid four small sections in the front and secure them in back with a bobbypin or small hair clip.

* Then liberally spray Aveda Air Control on pieces that tend to misbeahve. About 6-7 sprays and you should be good.

Allison Iraheta American Idol

We have been following American Idol, season 8 (because its a guilty pleasure!!) and we were loving Allison Iraheta’s performance and look from this past Tuesday night! Who knew a country song could sound so good? Allison accessorized her outfit with a flower pinned in her hair. The twist? She used a flower that was the same color as her hair! We are loving this look. It is subtle but still makes a statement. For those of you who are a little weary about accessorizing your hair, we recommend trying this look. With the vast amount of flowers available out there, you’ll be sure to find one in a hair-matching color.

American Idol Hairstylist Goes Home

Anyone hooked on American Idol this season? We are! We were sad to see Nancy Wilson, our Miami hometown hairstylist get sent home last night. Her hair was fierce! Definitely PGH if you ask us.

Here’s the David Cook video we promised, even though we don’t talk about hair! I know this is one my roommates will appreciate. We have all the episodes on Tivo and they watch his performances over and over again (My boyfriend thinks they are crazy for doing this).

I was a DC fan from the start and now that I’ve met him I can tell you that he is so friendly and I like him even more. I’m sure you’re wondering how we got backstage at the American Idol tour, right? Well, let’s just say with have the hook up with The Rock Star Stories – a really cool TV show all about music. P.S. My hair looks fab! Don’t you think so? Must have spent extra time on it knowing I was going to hang out with rock stars!

Jason Castro Talks Hair

The American Idol tour stopped in South Florida last week and we went backstage to interview the top 9 finalists and of course the winner – David Cook. All of the idols were so nice and we had a blast talking to them. Most people remember Jason Castro for his dreads, so we had to ask about them!
