In the market for a new hair iron, but don’t want to spend a lot of money? Then you should know that the Revlon Perfect Heat Ceramic RVST2001C (about $30) was rated the best value hair straightening iron by Consumer Reports.

The best performer overall was the Infiniti Nano Silver by Conair SS9, $100. It has an LED temperature display and retractable combs to grip hair. Both shut off automatically in about 60 minutes.
