Total Beauty’s Worst-Rated Hair Products
It’s Saturday night…your hair looks great, that new dress fits just right, and your dancing shoes are ready to take you through the night. You party the night away and have a fabulous time. The next morning, hair all over your face, groggy and most likely hungover, you take a deep breath and inhale the lovely smells of……1,000 old ashtrays?!
I hate leaving a club or bar only to discover that the club has left with me, in my hair. Especially when I just washed it right before! Not only is it bad to wash your hair everyday, but it’s a pain in my boo-tay as well! But the smell of last night’s ashtray is not one that I care to inhale all day long. So, what to do? Get your hands on some hair perfume!
We all use perfume to make our bodies smell fresh, so why not do the same to our hair? One of my good friends introduced me to Jonathan Redo–this product freshens up dirty hair and leaves a nice, clean scent behind (Jonathan is the creator of many other beauty products, too). I love it because the scent is not overpowering at all and it can also be used on my skin! Find it at your local beauty supply store or Sephora.
Anyone else got hair perfume recommendations?
Ok, I know most hair commercials are cheesy but this one is REALLY cheesy! Salon Selectives was really popular back in the 80′s and 90′s and now I think they are trying to make a comeback. Check out their new commercial and let us know what you think. It has over 1,000 views on YouTube right now and a 4-star rating…

We haven’t done a post before on curly hair basics…until now. If you can’t seem to get your styling routine down, check out these tips on Sally Beauty Supply’s website. They say that a common mistake is “too much touching while drying.” (I definitely do this…ops!)
I haven’t been to Sally’s in forever. Anyone want to make Saturday a beauty day? We could hit up Ulta, Sally’s…where else?

We just got word that Ulta is having it’s last Summer Hair Demo this Saturday, July 26th. Stylists from Bed Head will be at the store all day talking about how to “transform you frizzy hair into soft beach waves” using their Dual Waver (see picture of funny looking contraption). I’ll be at the Kendall location if anyone wants to carpool.

I’m so entering this contest and you should too! You have until August 25th to enter TRESemme’s “How Fierce is You Hair” contest.

Mary-Louise Parker’s got talent and style! Her show Weeds, now in it’s 4th season, is one of the hottest shows on TV. I am a lot happier on Monday’s knowing that after work comes Weeds.

If you’re anything like me, your mom (and genetics) have passed on some not so fun traits. One of mine–gray hair. At 24. My mom started going gray early, so therefore I am too. Having dark hair does nothing to help mask my flaws! I have been dying my hair every few months for the past few years to keep it looking young and fresh. However, I have come to realize that this is a damaging, not to mention pricey, habit to keep up. So…I set out looking for another solution.
I’d like to introduce you to Rashell Masc-a-Gray Hair Mascara. For those in between months when the grays are growing in, but a visit to the salon is not possible, Masc-a-Gray is a perfect solution. It is just like mascara for your hair. For $5.99, you can cover up until your next shampoo. And the best part? It comes in 12 colors, ranging from Copper Chestnut to Wheat Blonde. So go ahead, grab your color, and mask those grays away!
And, just a tip..for those days when you run out the door without covering up, just be like me and tell the world you have gray highlights!
