I love getting into work and having my Daily Candy e-mails waiting in my inbox! Today there was an article on Peachypan Kanzashi Hair Ornaments (wow, that’s a mouthful). Read more here.

I’ll admit, as I’m sure most of us big hair ladies would do – I often plan my hair shampooing schedule around whether or not I plan on going to the gym. It would be nice to not have to do so! I don’t know about you, but after 30 minutes on the stair climber, 100 crunches and 50 squats later, my hair is no condition to be set free in public.
We may be in luck though with the Ted Gibson Hair Sheets. Each sheet is an on-the-go hairstyle refresher that may not be able to save your hairdo from a hard workout, but could possibly help. They are designed to smooth frizz, prevent over-drying, eliminate odors and protect your hair from the sun. Seems to me a like a great product to keep in your purse.
Have you this tried yet? If so, we want to hear from you. Leave a comment and let us know what you think.

I went to Curly Hair Camp yesterday at GBS Beauty Store and met this awesome girl Cristina who was cool enough to let me watch her frizzy hair get transformed into beautiful curls. The camp was all about Deva hair products, which are designed specifically for us curly heads.
When I first met Cristina this is what her hair looked like:
So, Lorraine Massey, one of the masterminds behind Deva products, went to work starting with No-Poo – a non-lathering, conditioning cleanser.
Next she used Heaven in Hair – a deep intense moisture remedy with nourshing botanicals from the rain forests in Brazil (and we wonder why hair products are so expensive!)
And last, but not least came Set It Free – a 24-48 hour moisture lock for long-lasting hold.
In this next picture, you’ll see Lorraine adding little metal clips to the front pieces that frame Cristina’s face. This adds volume so the pieces don’t lay flat to her head. You leave the clips in while diffusing.
Cristina left the store with these three products and the DevaFuser which is a diffuser in the shape of a hand. It’s pretty cool and the first time I’ve seen anything like it. As Lorraine pointed out, “it’s strictly for hair use only.” I can only imagine what my boyfriend would say if I came home with one of these.
So, today Cristina sent me some pictures of her hair once it dried and all I can say is what a difference! I am totally impressed and think I’ll be purchasing some Deva products for myself.

This new Dove ad is incredible. It’s what we at PGH believe in the most – realizing and embracing your natural beauty and not getting sucked into what society thinks you should look like. Watch and let us know what you think.

Cell phone headsets have gone to the next level! Can you imagine someone in the elevator next to you talking into this thing? And we thought the people on their bluetooth headsets look crazy. You may think this is a joke, but this hair dryer headset is really for sale for $7.59 at Deal Extreme.

Attention readers: Add some tea to your routine!
One problem with us big haired people, especially mousse-users, is that our hair dries out, which can also lead to our scalp drying out. My Hair-God introduced me to this amazing product made by Paul Mitchell–Tea Tree Hair and Scalp Treatment. He swears by it at his salon. This scalp treatment is full of tiny little beads that exfoliate and scrub the scalp. The minty scent is both invigorating and completely refreshing!
I try to use it at least once a week to keep my scalp moisturized and feeling good. Plus, it just feels so cooling and refreshing on my head that I crave using it. My Tea Tree also helps to keep my hair super moisturized and shiny. For those of you with dandruff or dry scalp, this is definitely a problem solver. For all others, I promise it will be a worthwhile and enjoyable experience nonetheless.

Lauren Moshi clothing designs have been a huge hit with celebs like Lauren Condrad, Christina Aguilera, Nikky Hilton and Rachel Bilson to name a few. So, what’s next for the brother-sister designing duo? Hippie Headbands…and we’re in love with them! If you’re willing to spend $88 bucks on one of these bad boys, you better decide quick because only 100 pieces of each design (6 total) will be produced.
They’re not in stores yet but we’ll let you know when they are. Keep checking back to PGH and let us know what you think of this groovy do!

GBS, The Beauty Store, is hosting Curly Hair Camp at a couple of their stores this week. I had two friends at work tell me about this! Thanks ladies for looking out for PGH!
I plan on going to the Coral Gables store on Saturday (it’s walking distance from my house) if anyone wants to join.
Here’s the deal – Lorraine Massey is a celeb stylist, author and co-owner of DevaCurl and New York’s Devachan Salon. There will be free hair consultations, product demos, samplings, book signings and a 20% discount on all Deva products.
Sounds like fun, huh? The Camp starts on Thursday at the Boca and Aventura stores and on Saturday in Pinecrest (10 am to 1 pm) and Coral Gables (2 pm to 5 pm). Check out www.gbsbeauty.com for more info and leave a comment if you want to come with me.
