Shop for a Cause – Breast Cancer Awareness Month
As I’m sure you know by now, October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month. It’s rare to find someone these days who hasn’t been affected by breast cancer in some way or another. Chances are you know someone who has been diagnosed with the disease. And still we have no cure! It’s so sad.
We ask that all our PGH readers does their part this month to help fight for a cure. Whether it’s participating in a walk (I’m doing one this weekend) or making a donation, we must help bring awareness to this very important cause.
Since PGH is a hair blog, we thought it would be fitting to put a list of products together in which a portion of the proceeds goes to breast cancer research/awareness. There’s tons of them out there, but here are a few of our picks. Happy Shopping (for a cause)!!

As part of their sponsorship of Bright Pink, Dove Hair Care will donate 10 percent of sales from participating Dove Therapy packs to support the organization during the months of September and October. Look for special packaging at all mass retailers nationwide.
TIGI S-factor will donate $2 from every sale to distributors (up to $30,000) to breast cancer research, treatment, and education at City of Hope.
Curls for a Cure – Ouidad matches, dollar for dollar, donations to Curls for a Cure® which can be made on www.ouidad.com. Funds will benefit the Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
