Int’l Fantasy Hair Competition Winner is “Proud Peacock”

Congrats  to model Amaris Brown of Detroit and stylist Kevin Carter of the Detroit suburb Farmington Hills for the “Proud Peacock.” The team is the winner of the International Fantasy Hair Competition.

Talk about a work of art!

The event attracted stylists and their models from around the country with prizes ranging from $1,000 to $7,500. All proceeds from Thursday night’s hair-art show at the Verizon Wireless Arena went to the New Hampshire Food Bank.

I can only imagine how bad all the model’s heads must have hurt. Hours of prep time and hours of getting all the feathers, branches, chicken-wire, styrofoam and other random crafts out!
